インドでみつけた「いいな。」
8月のはじめから21日までインドでお仕事をしていました。
１月から7ヶ月ぶりのインド。今回はデリー、カルカッタ、ムンバイ、そしてはじめて南インドのケララを訪れました。
日本にいると、電車が時間通りに来たり、人は震災のときでさえならんで自分の番待つし、外国人からみると感動することが多い国ですが、日本に負けずおとらず、インドにいると「あ、これって他の国にないよな」とちょっとうれしくなる瞬間も沢山あります。
そんな、インドでみつけた、いいな、とご紹介。
常温のお水
インドでは基本的に水をお願いすると常温できます。氷が入っていることはとてもまれ。
インドでは、アーユルヴェーダの歴史背景があり、「冷たい水は内臓を冷やす」ことを生まれもって知っているのか、また衛生上すべての料理や飲み物は熱くして口に入れる習慣があるためか、みんな常温か夏でも、熱々のチャイを飲んでいます。
これは、冷え症のじぶんにとっては、異様にうれしかったことです。
洗車が安い
日本のガソリンスタンドで洗車代が2,3000円という値段をみて、「だったら自分で洗おう・・・」と気持ちにもなりませんか。インドでは、いつでも洗車してくれるお兄ちゃんがいて、ピカピカにしてくれて大体3-400円という安さ。
インド（とくに北）は埃っぽい天候が多いので、１晩車を外に置くと土ぼこりのベールが、自分の車かどうか分からないくらい覆っていることも。お兄ちゃんがいて、大たすかりなのです。
フルーツ王国
日本もフルーツ王国だとは思いますが、ちょっといいマンゴーやブドウだと千円越えてしまうのが悲しいところ・・・。インドには、マンゴーも自国のマンゴーがあり、ケサー、ラングラ、チョウサなど、シュガーショック！ともいえるほどの極上甘美なマンゴーが大体１つ80-100円くらいで手に入ります。
他にも、わたしのおすすめのチク(干し柿のような味わい）、カスタードアップル（カスタードみたいな味）など、フルーツがメインディッシュでいい！と思わせてくれる、フルーツ優等生が軒を連ねています。
ぜひ、インドを訪れた際には、インドの「いいな。」を思う存分あじわってくださいね。
I have been in India in August. it was after 7 months to visit India, I have been to Cal,Delhi,Mumbai and Kerala first time.
As There are lots of good part of Japan for foreigners who has visited in japan, for example people are always get in the line for Train, food, Everything comes in time, there are also good part of India when you see and experience deeply.
I just would like to introduce what I felt “Like!” in India in this last trip.
Room temperature water
When you order the water in India, it usually comes with room temperature or without ice.
In india, they have a long history of Ayurveda they seem not to have cold water to make the organs cold instead of that they keep drinking very hot tea or chai even in middle of Summer. Some people say it is also because they have to keep away the sanitary problems.
Cheap car washing
In Japan, it costs a lot for washing cars in gas stand, it costs more than 2-3000 yen in Tokyo.
If you can ask that to Indian boy for car washing, it costs only 3-400 yen and he makes the car even better and shiny than before in 15min. It help people in northern india a lot, dust and sand covers their cars completely and all cars looks same (beige) after a night!
Fruits kingdom
I believe Japan is one of the best fruits country but sometimes it makes me sad that it costs more than 1000 yen for one good mango or grapes…
India has delicious variety of fruits grown up in India, especially in terms of taste of Mango, they have Langra, chosa there are more than 1000 kinds!!
My recommendation is Chiku (it taste like dried persimmon) Custard apple (it tastes really like custard).
